Bahamas- Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa
This was a three day cruise to complete my requirements to achieve my Accredited Cruise Counsellar certification. While in Nassau I figured I would do a site inspection of Sandals Royal Bahamian. But first we had to go into town to get my husband a Harley Davidson Bahamas t-shirt! That was the only shopping we did in Nassau as I was anxious to get to Sandals! What a beautiful property and the staff was fantastic! The beachfront is split into two areas. As you face the ocean on the left was the activities hut and most of the sunbathers. Betwenn the beaches was a pier and on the right a small stretch of beach with a few people snorkeling. That's where we parked ourselves as we wanted to snorkel. As soon as an employee say that we didn't have lounge chairs he asked if we would like some. We replied that we were fine but he ran to go get us a couple of chairs and was back in less than a minute. At that point we also had a waiter following him to get us drinks. The service just couldn't be beat! Unfortunately I couldn't do a room inspection as the resort was at full occupancy but I enjoyed the facility, had a terriffic lunch ( my husband was very impressed with the Conch sandwich saying he's never received such a big piece of conch!). We also didn't want to miss our ship so we didn't visit the offshore island. Insert sad face here. As we left that afternoon my husband and I vowed to come back and traet ourselves with at least a long weekend at Sandals Royal Bahamian resort!
We also enjoyed Royal Caribbeans private island Cococay! It was a ton of fun with a band playing, a beach BBQ, pretty good snorkeling, hammocks and lounge chairs everywhere! We didn't get pictures of the main beach area where most people stayed and tanned but stole away to quieter areas of the island to relax. it was nice as there were lounge chairs tucked away here and there along the beach. The water was warm and beautiful!
